Andrea Talbot, LMSW

Therapist

817-361-4545

Andrea Talbot (she/her), LMSW, is a graduate from the University of Texas at Arlington.

My therapeutic focus involves working with adults, adolescents, and couples struggling to overcome struggles from a variety of sources. I have provided care to clients experiencing depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and other mental health struggles in individual and group therapy environments. My goal as a therapist is to provide my clients with the best opportunity possible to overcome the difficulties they have gone through in life which have led them to seek therapy services and to allow clients to explore and process their feelings, and struggles, and to assist in developing the skills and means necessary to heal.

I have experience working directly with members of the LGBTQ+ community, and have experience working with clients experiencing a range of different mental health struggles and traumatic life circumstances.

The modalities I primarily use within therapeutic relationships are Strengths Based therapy and CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) strengths based therapy is a modality based on focusing on the strengths and resources available to you in order to overcome your internal and external struggles. CBT is a short-term therapy approach based on helping clients to identify the ways in which their thoughts and cognitive processes influence their behaviors and perceptions of themselves, others, and the world around them, and helps clients learn to change these cognitive patterns so they may in turn change the behaviors that accompany these patterns.

I chose to become a therapist because I love helping clients with healing from and overcoming the struggles they experience in their lives.
