I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 5 years of clinical experience. Originally, I was trained in integrated behavioral health, which positioned me to work with individuals experiencing mental health issues related to chronic medical conditions, so I’ve worked in clinics and medical hospitals utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Solution-Focused Therapies. I’ve also worked in psychiatric hospitals and working with individuals experiencing mental health crisis and substance use issues. Through my work in crisis settings I have seen many ways in which people suffer and the tremendous resilience individuals have to overcome hard times.
I take a strengths-based perspective when working with clients, which means I believe every person I engage has the innate strengths, needed to tackle any hardships they encounter. My role is to partner with my clients on their journey, elicit meaningful information that illuminates those strengths, and offer constructive tools that help clients achieve the growth and changes they want for themselves.
Clinically, I have experience working with individuals coping with depression and anxiety. I have a growing interest in working with ADHD adults, women experiencing perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, and couples.
