Earl Wilson, MS, LMFT
I am both a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and an ordained United Methodist Elder currently living out my vocational calling as a military chaplain. I began my journey as a clinician by providing homebased therapy with children or adolescents and their families. Then I became a second career pastor where are served in both a small and large congregational settings.
The military has afforded me the luxury of blending both my Duke Divinity background with my Systems Theory roots, and I have humbly utilized my strong pastoral care background for 13 years, while helping service members and their dependents navigate the challenges of life.
Under the umbrella of a family systems approach, my focus is to help individuals, couples, and families experiencing discomfort though my empathy, positive regard, and direct approach. The modalities used in treatment are eclectic and shaped by my background in structural, strategic, and functional family therapy.
As a military chaplain my experience is diverse and typically focuses on spiritual matters, stress, depression, both premarital and marital counseling, infidelity, trauma, family relational problems and grief loss issues.
