Mitzi Smith, LPC-Associate

Counselor

817-361-4545

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor-Associate under the supervision of Amy Standifer, MA, LPC-S. My professional journey has led me to thoroughly enjoy working with diverse populations, including children, adolescents, families, and adults.

Prior to my career in counseling, I served as an educator in elementary and special education settings. This experience has equipped me with a deep understanding of individuals' needs and challenges across various stages of life. I specialize in assisting individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, and self-confidence issues. My therapeutic approach incorporates modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).

Having been a military spouse for over 2 decades and having lived in numerous states and countries, I bring a heightened level of cultural sensitivity and awareness to my practice. This background enables me to effectively connect with clients from diverse backgrounds and provide them with the support they need.
If you're seeking a counselor to assist you on your journey toward healing and personal growth. Please feel free to reach out - I look forward to the opportunity to work with you.
